Oh my...

GeoTrax is by far the big holiday hit! Even this morning, three days post Christmas, Drew walked downstairs and said, "Oh my...Look at that...GeoTrax! It's amazing! I love it!" This present would have been enough for one holiday, but of course there are many more gifts invading our living room. Santa knew Drew was a very good boy this year :) Next year I'll remember to buy that one big ticket item and call it a holiday.

Merry Everything!

As Drew says: Celebrate Christmas EVERYday!
(I then tell him it's not everyday, but we celebrate with everyone!)

What a beautiful day!

We had another encounter with Santa today! We had a lovely brunch in Cromwell, CT with Chris' family. After eating loads of strawberries, grapes, melons, eggs, bagel with cream cheese, and ice cream, Drew mounted Santa and we were able to take a family photo! Considering Dean had NO morning nap, the ride is 1.5 hours each way, and Drew went from "so hungry" to high on fructose...the kids did amazingly well. And on the ride home Drew summed it up by proclaiming: What a beautiful day!

Can you see my new teeth? They're there...

Forget the holiday cookies...bring on the fruit for this guy!

Update

The latest and the greatest on the boys...

DEAN HAS TWO TEETH. It seems so trivial when you have a mouthful of teeth, but for a little 5 month old peanut, having two teeth is quite exciting. Drew didn't get any teeth until 9 months of age so this was unexpected! I have done two happy-teeth-dances and I am thrilled about this little milestone.

DREW...GOING TO PRE-SCHOOL?!? I can't believe my little guy will be ready for school in September. I've begun researching different programs in the area; it's an interesting process. There are a few reputable montessori schools nearby - and we had the chance to visit one this week and LOVED it. It's bitter sweet as one can imagine. My mornings will not be the same without my lovebug, but I'm thrilled for him to experience learning in a new environment. I am confident he will enjoy school and be successful!

Santa!

I am super excited about Christmas this year. Drew is at an age where "he gets it" (sort of) and I just know he's going to be so thrilled on Christmas morning to see what Santa brings. That being said, we've begun reading holiday stories about Santa & Rudolf & Frosti. And we've even had the opportunity to see Santa IN PERSON! We went to Brunch with Santa at the zoo last Sunday (see above photo). What's better than Santa at the ZOO?!? Despite initial trepidation, Drew was pretty excited to see the big guy and he loved the Christmas caroles. Then we were so lucky as to see Santa again at Walmart - where we got a free 5 x 7 photo with him. AND we'll be seeing him again next weekend in CT. We're lucky Santa has been hanging out in New England lately! Drew seems to like the big beared guy...wait til he sees what he brings!
